Summer exchange initiatives highlight Lingnan’s innovations and global vision

For this entire summer, the campus of Lingnan University has been as vibrant as during regular term time. The University partnered with institutions from the Chinese Mainland and overseas to organise a series of exchange initiatives, demonstrating the tremendous vitality and global outlook of its faculty and students, and promoting the “Study in Hong Kong” brand and supporting Hong Kong’s development as an international education hub.

Lingnan organised the third Lingnan-Yuanpei STEM Summer Academy with Yuanpei College of Peking University, an on-site, seven-day, intensive training camp from 2 to 8 July on the Lingnan campus, encouraging the next generation of Beijing-Hong Kong talent to seamlessly blend cuttingedge scientific innovation with humanistic values, and helping student entrepreneurs to transform creative ideas into socially responsible, realworld business solutions.

Lingnan and Xinya College of Tsinghua University also organised the LUXY Lab from 27 July to 9 August, where students from both universities participated in a series of academic lectures, seminars, site visits and prototype production in Hong Kong and Beijing, gaining deeper insights into the respective societies, cultural and creative industries, and technological development of other regions. The meaningful academic and cultural exchange programme encouraged students to design creative artistic products integrating software and hardware.
