Seminar at Lingnan nurtures students’ innovation in tackling needs of aging society

The “Startup Weekend Hong Kong Silver Society @ Lingnan University Bootcamp #1” was held on 11 September. With the theme “White Space”, the event hopes to response to the pressing needs of an aging community through innovative products and services. The Office of Service-Learning and Student Services Centre have invited three social enterprise representatives including Mr David Chow, Social Enterprise Operation Manager of Yan Oi Tong, Mr Lawrence Lui, Co-founder of Longevity Design House and Mr Herman Chan, Co-Founder of Eldpathy Hong Kong to share on how social enterprises response to Hong Kong’s ageing issues, allowing Lingnan students to think out of the box and create new startups at “Startup Weekend Hong Kong Silver Society @ Lingnan University”.
In addition, the event aims to promote innovation projects related to the elderly, and at the same time cultivate an innovation and entrepreneurship culture at Lingnan.
