Orientation Information for Senior Year Admittees

 

Congratulations and a warm welcome to Lingnan family! Here you will find some important information on academic regulations, graduation requirements, student support services and campus resources to help you get started with your studies at Lingnan:

 

1) Block Credit Transfer for Associate Degree (AD) /Higher Diploma (HD) Graduates from Local Sub-degree Programmes Accredited with Level 4 of the Qualifications Framework:

 

With effect from the 2021-22 intake, eligible AD/HD graduates will be granted 60-credit block transfer upon admission, the framework is as follows:

2) Online Reporting

New admittees will receive an invitation email to complete the reporting procedures in early August. Students who fail to complete the online reporting procedures by the specific timeline will be considered as withdrawn from the University and the down payment paid is non-refundable.

 

3) Academic Advising

Every student will be assigned an academic advisor. Students are required to meet with their Academic Advisors to discuss their study plan prior to the course registration period. Students can check the details of academic advising arrangements when completing the online reporting procedure in early August.
 

4) Graduation Requirements

In addition to the requirements stipulated in the curriculum of his/her Major programme, an undergraduate student is required to fulfil the following requirements before graduation:

5) Hostel

Senior year students are normally be required to reside in a student hostel for one year. Students are required to indicate their intention to apply for a hostel place during the online reporting process in August.

6) Student Exchange Programme

With a mission of becoming a world-class liberal arts institution, Lingnan aims at promoting student exchange with other institutions of higher learning throughout the world.
