CHAN, Eva - Associate Director
As head of the Enterprise Application and Projects (EAPS) Section, Eva is responsible for managing the Application Services Team and the Web Services Team. She also oversees the new and ongoing development of the Banner/ERP projects and the myLingnan Portal to align with the strategic planning of ITSC to meet the University's objectives.
CHAN Shek-hin, Gregory - Administrative Officer
Gregory oversees the daily operation of the General Office, and provides administrative support to the preparation of annual budget exercise, meetings and events, as well as compiling management reports. Gregory also acts as the ITSC liaison person to the HR Office, Joint Universities Computer Centre, and other outside parties.
CHAN Shek-tak, Jack - Senior Information Officer
Jack is one of the supporting staff who provides hotline and on-site services for staff and handles enquiries from students. He is responsible for computer laboratory management and maintenance including PC client model planning, configuration and administration. Jack also takes part in campus-wide IT projects, such as the Notebook Ownership Program, annual PC replacement exercise, annual departmental and local printer replacement/allocation exercise.
CHAN Sheung-lim, William - Assistant Information Manager II
William is responsible for application and system administration of the University web services, including Portal servers, eLearning servers, MySQL server, Application servers and other related technical support services for the Web Services Team. He is also responsible for the data synchronisation between Banner system, myLingnan Portal and eLearning services.
CHAN Tze-wai, Queenie - Assistant Information Manager I
Queenie is team leader of the Desktop Computing Services Team. She is responsible for the daily helpdesk operation and support to all users at Lingnan. She is also responsible for the planning and delivery of Information Literacy trainings to both staff and students. She manages the campus-wide hardware, software inventory of computing equipment and the PC and printer replacement exercises.
CHENG Jui-chung, Rachel - Chief Information Officer and Librarian
As the chief administrative officer, Rachel is the primary advocate, responsible for the strategic development and operational management of the Library and Information Technology Services Centre in our mission to support and promote excellence in teaching, learning, and scholarship within the Lingnan University community.
CHEUNG Ka-yiu, Kenneth - Assistant Information Manager I
Kenneth is responsible for the graphics design of the University’s banner, publications and development of the Lingnan websites. He is also responsible for promoting and supporting both the internet and intranet services.
CHEUNG Wai-man - Associate Director
As head of the Infrastructure Services Section, Wai Man is managing the Network Services Team, the System Support Services Team and the Data and System Services Team. He is responsible for overseeing the University’s server, database and network services, which include the operation, administration, planning, development, management and budget control of the database system, the data centres and LAN rooms, the network system, the IP Phone system, the WiFi system, the email system, the directory service, the file and print system, the Smart Card System, the Video Conferencing System, and the Internet infrastructure systems. He is also responsible for different IT infrastructure development projects for the University, as well as the VMware virtualisation infrastructure, IPv6 development, IP surveillance system and LED Display Wall. In addition, Wai Man participates in the JUCC Core Group Meetings and assists the ITSC Director to carry out the required follow up actions. He is also a member of the JUCC Network Task Force.
CHOI Ting-hei, Ronald - Senior Information Officer
Ronald is responsible for application development to support the Postgraduate Studies Office. This includes collection and analysis of system requirements, programming and testing, system implementation, documentation, provision of user support, and performing any other job-related assignments.
CHOW Shuk-yee, Fiona - Clerical Officer II
Fiona is responsible for the General Office administration, maintains staff roster, shift/leave records and provides information/enquiry counter services. She assists in monitoring ITSC budget and manpower deployment and provides web support services for ITSC. She assists Section Heads in rendering their administration duties.
CHOY Ho-yeung, George - Assistant Information Manager I
George works in the Database Services Team. He is responsible for the management, deployment, hands-on technical support and operation of the database, Banner, Degree Works, Room Booking and smart card systems. He is also responsible for the management and daily operational support for the backup and recovery system. In addition, George also participates in system programming between the Banner system and directory systems.
CHUI Ka-fai, Kevin - Information Assistant
Kevin works in the Network Services Team. He is responsible for the daily operational support for the University network system, WiFi system, IP Phone system, IP surveillance system, cabling system and data centre. He is also responsible for basic LAN point installation, cabling work, video conferencing and onsite support for campus users, hostel residents and remote education centres.
HO Wing, Rosiah - Associate Director
Reports to the Chief Information Officer and coordinates with the Director of the Teaching and Learning Centre and the Director of Office of Research Support, Rosiah's primary responsibility is to enable and support faculty in the effective utilization of information technology. He promotes and provides for appropriate uses of information technology in general and research in particular. As the primary Information Services liaison to academic departments, actively survey faculty's research needs to plan appropriate digital humanities support in campus. He is also responsible for the plan and delivery of new faculty training initiatives in the uses of information technology such as encryption software, Moodle, etc.
HUI Ka-siu, Gordon - Senior Information Assistant
Gordon is responsible for providing technical and operational support to both the Department of Computing Decision Sciences (CDS) and ITSC. He manages CDS departmental servers and assists professors in teaching and research, as well as maintains the CDS departmental webpage. In ITSC, he is one of the supporting staff who provides hotline and on-site support for both staff and students.
HUI Lung-shan, Felix - Assistant Information Manager II
Felix is one of the supporting staff in Desktop Computing Services Team who provides hotline and on-site services for staff and students. Besides daily operation, he also manages ITSC student helpers in maintaining and supporting service counters, PC and printers in computer laboratories. Felix is also responsible for staff and student client model planning, configuration and administration. He also takes part on campus-wide IT projects such as annual PC replacement exercise, departmental and local printer replacement/allocation exercise.
KWAN Hon-man, Albert - Assistant Information Manager II
Albert is the team leader of the Multimedia and AV Services Team. He oversees the MM/AV services and provides daily operation and maintenance support services for audio visual systems and projects for both teaching and non-teaching venues. He provides first tier user support services for all MM/AV requests, hotline, on loan and multimedia services. He is responsible for AV helper management, providing training for users, and handling events for student and the University.
KWOK Kwun-yip, Terence - Information Manager
Terence handles the Banner Finance system and provides full support for the University end users, including system customisation and implementation, financial report development, technical solutions to functional users. He is also the key support person for Blackboard Analytics and the Banner Payroll, Finance, ePR, eOPP and eLeave systems.
LAI Kin-pang, Johnny - Senior Technical Assistant
Johnny provides daily operation and end user support by rendering onsite support to staff. He also shares the workload of the photographic services for University functions. In addition, he is the primary technical support person for the ITSC student helpers.
LAI Wing-wo, James - Assistant Information Manager I
James is the Deputy Team Leader of the Network and Communication Services Team. He oversees the daily operation of the university network and communication services. He is responsible for the development and management of the university directory system, IP Phone system, network support systems and network monitoring system. He is also responsible for the technical support of the network system and email system as well as providing technical support services for campus users and hostel residents.
LAM Chi-ming, Patrick - Assistant Information Manager II
Patrick provides Banner Student and Banner Finance system support for the University end users, including implementation and customisation of the system, technical support for end users and report development. Besides Banner, he is also involved in the development of in-house applications such as JUPAS, Hostel Management Information system, Course Teaching and Learning Evaluation (CTLE) system, Sport Complex Booking system and users' ad-hoc requests for reports.
LAM Hon-yee, Joyce - Information Manager
Joyce is the team leader of the Web Services Team and is responsible for providing leadership in strategic planning, operational and technical aspects of the University's Web presence and its infrastructure, as well as the marketing aspects of the University's online services. She also oversees the daily operations of the Web Team, including Lingnan's Web on the Internet, myLingnan Portal, and University e-Learning platform. She is also responsible for software development and testing, system administration and project management for web applications.
LAM Tin-yan, Angus - Information Officer
Angus works in the Multimedia and AV Services Team and is responsible for audio visual project management and consultation, University events support and setup management, multimedia production and equipment on-loan services. He carries out maintenance, project and development of the Central Control User Interface (CCUI) systems in teaching and non-teaching venues. He also provides hotline support, training, operations and maintenance of equipment for MM/AV services.
LAU Ming-fung, Daniel - Assistant Information Manager II
Daniel as one of the supporting staff in Desktop Computing Services Team, he provides IT helpdesk support for staff and students on hardware, software applications and operating systems, especially on Mac OS and iOS devices. He is also responsible for planning and managing Information Literacy (IL) courses and the First-Aid Information Technology Helper (FAITH) programme, organizing annual staff and student survey, conducting orientation programme on ITSC services to new staff and students as well as the logistic arrangement on annual campus-wide PC replacement exercise. Daniel also engages in ITSC Helpdesk System and webpages maintenance.
LAW Yat-wing - Senior Information Officer
Wing works in the Multimedia and AV Services Team and is responsible for the MM/AV equipment on-loan services management and language laboratories management and development. He carries out development of web applications, assisting in audio visual project, University events support, equipment setup and multimedia production. He also provides hotline support, training, operations and maintenance of equipment for the MM/AV services.
LEE Shu-hung, Michael - AV Technician I
Michael works in the Multimedia and AV Services Team and is responsible for the MM/AV equipment maintenance management and campus-wide technical support. He carries out audio visual project, MM/AV equipment installation, alignment and checking in teaching and non-teaching venues, assisting in multimedia production and events support. He also provides hotline support, on-loan services, trainings and operation for the MM/AV services.
LEUNG Yu-hing, Dick - Information Officer
Dick is responsible for the development, maintenance and testing of web-based applications. He is also responsible for the project management and quality assurance for various web-based projects.
LI Ching-lam, Elaine - Senior Information Officer
Elaine is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of Data Structures and ETL Processes optimized for Blackboard Analytics (Business Intelligence System). She also works with the Institutional Research Manager for data analysis to support decision-making and preparation of standard reports.
LIU Man-wah, Ivan - Information Officer
Ivan is one of the supporting staff who provides hotline and on-site services for staff and handles enquiries from students. He also assists in PC client model planning, configuration and administration and provides support for Mac users. Ivan also takes part in campus-wide IT projects, such as the annual PC replacement exercise, annual departmental and local printer replacement/allocation exercise.
LO Wai-chuen, Lawrence - Information Officer
Lawrence is responsible for developing application, providing support, documentation and performing any other job-related assignments for the University’s ERP administrative systems.
POON Tak-man, Angel - Assistant Information Manager I
Angel provides support and development for Oracle-based applications such as the new JUPAS admission system, Major selection system for Faculty of Arts, etc. She also provides technical support for the functional users, conducts application testing and software evaluation for Banner/ERP system. She also develops reports in other modules and systems such as the Degree Works system.
RONG Mei-jiang, Meagan - Assistant Information Manager II
Meagan provides Banner Student system support for the University end users, including implementation and customisation of the system, technical support for end users and reports development according to users' requirements.
SHU Pui-yee, Dorothy - Institutional Research Manager
As the Institutional Research Manager, Ms. Dorothy Shu plans, organizes, and manages Lingnan's overall statistical and assessment information. She is responsible for data analysis to support decision-making, preparation of standard reports, as well as participating in the design, development, and implementation of the Business Intelligence system for the University. She also works closely with Deans and department heads to develop associated key performance indicators and produces standing and ad-hoc institutional/management information reports to support decision making at multiple levels of the University's organizational structure.
SZETO Man-kit - Assistant Information Manager I
Kit works in the Data and System Services Team and is responsible for administration and development of the database system, the JUPAS Admission System, the Degree Works system, the Business Intelligence system, user account management, Banner system management and the provision of system backup and recovery services, Banner system services and database support services to the University end users. He participates in the administration and development of the Smart Card System, Room Booking System, Hostel Security Management System and ILP Attendance Taking System.
TANG Hing-lung, James - Senior Information Manager
James leads the Application Services Team and has been assigned as the single point of contact for requests to support the on-going Banner operations and to support users of the Banner Student, Finance, HR and Alumni systems, Blackboard Analytics and Degree Works. He also looks after most of the in-house developed applications, including JUPAS Admission system, Sport Complex Booking system, Project Management system etc.
WONG Chun-kit, Kenneth - Assistant Information Manager II
Kenneth is responsible for the overall planning, design, operation, administration and management of Microsoft networks, directory service, cloud, application services and the campus-wide file and printing systems. He works under the System Support Team and provides technical planning, evaluation, system development, problem diagnosis and maintenance support for both Microsoft and Linux operating systems. He is also helping other ITSC teams and end users to plan, test, evaluate and deploy different kinds of desktop applications and services.
WONG Kit-pui - Information Manager
As the leader of the System Support Services Team, Kit Pui oversees different system architectures and platforms which provide mission-critical computing functions for the University. His team provides email, directory, file sharing, network printing and data backup system support services. He serves as the project manager in the design, evaluation, recommendation, acquisition, installation and deployment of new IT systems. From time to time, he compiles scripts to automate system operations. In addition, he supports the formulation of University-wide Information Security Policy and to assist in incident management, development of security practices and user education.
WONG Kwok-chuen, Andy - Information Officer
Andy works in the System Support Services Team and provides daily operation/ administration for different computer systems, including data backup/restore, email and file sharing. He is also responsible for the daily user account operation, administration and management.
WONG Siu-fung, Bennie - Senior Information Manager
Bennie is the leader of the Data and System Services Team, he is responsible for the planning, development, administration and management of the Banner database system, the Banner Application (INB and SSB) system and the VMware System. He is also responsible for the Campus Wide Storage Area Network (SAN) system, Smart Card System, Room Booking System, ILP Attendance Taking System, Hostel Security Management System, LED Display Wall and Video Conferencing System. As a member of the IS Incident Management Group, Bennie is responsible for carrying out investigation, managing and reporting of IS incidents, IS vulnerability and weaknesses analysis, assisting the Security Incident Management Group in making continuous improvement in the University IS policy and governance, and liaising with different departments in IS compliance and operational issues.
WONG Suet-kan - Information Officer
Suet Kan works in the Data and System Services Team. She is responsible for the daily operational support of the database system, campus wide virtualization system, network system, IP Phone system, Room Booking System, video conferencing system and WiFi system. She is also responsible for the centralized data backup services, system hardware inventory control, the document management system and basic LAN installation. She is a project team member of the Smart Card Access Control System Project.
WONG Wai-chung, Tommy - Information Manager
Tommy has been assigned as the liaison person of the HR systems in the team. He provides advice and support on Banner HR, Student and Alumni systems as well as Degree Works system for the University. YEE Chi-cheung - Assistant Information Manager II
Cheung provides Web Admission system support for the University end users, including system implementation and customisation, reports development, and technical assistance to functional users. He also develops reports and applications in other modules and systems, such as the Banner Student system.
YIU Chung Shun, Max - Assistant Information Manager II
Max works in the Network Services Team. He is responsible for the management, deployment, hands-on technical support and operation of the campus network, IP Phone system, WiFi system, cabling system and data centres. He is also responsible for the technical support, administration and operation of the firewall system, VPN system, IPS system, network traffic control system, IP KVM system, UPS system, network management system and remote education centres network infrastructure.
